Vault Project: The microSD card which makes the Android safer – Pplware

The safety of users of smartphones and other data devices has been an issue that is constantly discussed and it has been cause for concern.

The Google have spent years looking for a way to ensure this security, while ensuring the simplicity of the system.

According to a project that presented at I / O this step can be closer to be given. The Vault Project wants to give the necessary security to all and uses it for a simple microSD card.

This is another great project research laboratory and investigation of Google, which has already brought us some very interesting project.

The team that developed the project Vault managed to put in a microSD card something that can be compared to a computer and that will give an additional layer of security for any mobile device.

It has the advantage of being used natively by any device, not requiring manufacturers to adapt their equipment or incorporating new features

The Vault will run its own operating system. – Real Time Operating System (RTOS) – and independent of the systems where you placed with specifications very high security and ensuring extra protection for user data.

Equipped with encryption tools with high degrees of security Vault will ensure data security and the protection of all information that the user wants to save this protected area.

But as the Vault will occupy a slot that many want to use as memory expansion of its mobile devices, the Vault in equipped with a 4GB partition that can be integrated in the system where to run.

Apart from these features the Vault also has NFC and the ability to communicate with neighboring devices. It can be used on most operating systems such as Android, iOS or Windows.

If in the case of Android integration is native, the remaining need to have an application running in order to access the data and interact with systems.

The Vault will be directed to the Companies and security of employee data, but your code and all the information will be made public so that they can plan and create applications to make use of their abilities.

It’s still far from made public but Google has begun real tests with 500 of its employees, which allows us to understand that the Vault is a very real product that hit the market.

After Soli, but this is a project that shows that Google and its STAP laboratory have much to bring to our day-to-day, ensuring innovation and revolutionary ideas in various areas of technology.
