Microsoft to open Windows Phone to Android apps – Exame Informática

A Windows Phone running Android Apps? Soon, it may not be so strange. By the end of the year, Microsoft will open the Windows Phone ecosystem Apps designed for the operating system from Google.

The news is advanced today by Reuters based on anonymous sources – but still have to wait for the confirmation that Microsoft eventually will make the Build Conference, which is taking place in San Francisco, USA (and Exame Informatica is monitoring).

The opening of the Microsoft operating system competition Apps will have the purpose to break the negative cycle where Windows Phone is entangled … and that can be summarized with the following sentence: the less mobile phones sold, less compatible apps are developed, and the less compatible apps are developed, sold less mobile.

Microsoft’s bet can become even more radical is also in consideration the opening of the apps Windows Phones running on iOS (iPhones and iPads) – but this will be a decision to be taken, can only occur after you guaranteed compatibility with Android apps.
