Apple leads & # x2018; & # x2019 ;. smartphones and Android Windows gain ground in & # x2018; & # x2019 tablets;

Technological led by Tim Cook continues to dominate the business market.

Although smartphones Apple continues to lead the preferences of business users, the ‘tablets’ Windows and Android devices are beginning to win ground.
With 72% market share in the first quarter of 2015, Apple devices maintain the mobility sector domain in business, the report “Mobility Index” of Good Technology, a US technology that measures activations of mobile devices in companies.

During the period under review activations of smartphones Android recorded a market share of 26%, while Windows Phone parked by 1%, the same percentage of the past six quarters.
The iPhone 6, the last device launched by the company led by Tim Cook, was the ‘smartphone’ more popular in business, getting 26% of new activations. Second stood competitor Samsung Galaxy S5.

Despite dominating the market, the proportion of Apple fell one percentage point compared to the fourth quarter of 2014. However, the share of ‘ ‘Android smartphones increased by one percentage point to 26%, due to the adoption of equipment by the high technology and energy industries, where the share of this operating system is 47 and 44%, respectively.

Use applications increased in companies

In the public sector, the iOS operating system from Apple, back to lead with 80% of activations of mobile devices: 83% in education and 76 % in financial services.

So far, nothing new in the mobile equipment market, but the scenario changes when it comes to the ‘tablets’. The iPad ‘tablet’ brand of apple, has been losing strength and, in the first quarter of 2015, although it counted with 81% of activations, these figures represent a decrease compared to 92% in the same period last year. Unlike the iPad, the ‘tablets’ with Android and Windows systems increased their market share to 15% and 4%, respectively. The success of the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 helped Microsoft operating system to win 4% of the market for ‘tablets’.

Also the use of applications in enterprises increased by 28% over the previous quarter. The document also reveals that the ‘apps’ of safe navigation were the most popular, followed by instant messaging and applications of the technology infrastructure of the company.
