Update to Google Maps for Android discovers destinations and … – Tudocelular.com

Google developers are not taking vacation, at least for now. The company released the 9.19.0 version of Google Maps for Android devices with a number of improvements and important resources, with the “driving mode” (or “drive mode”) where the application is able to analyze the user’s current position and, according to the same travel history, can “predict” where he is going and will already suggesting other paths and providing traffic reports along them.

It’s like, for example, you were coming back from work to the home of his parents, and then the Maps would suggest a different route, automatically, of which you often use to go home.

In addition to browsing history Maps own the application passes to do web searches to try to guess where you are going, taking into account the local business destination. This will make a little more flexible navigation, although the mode can also be disabled so as not to hinder the most lay people.

However, activate it is not something that easy. The driving mode can only be activated with a kind of “magic” that goes through many stages. This, as suggested by the Android Police , it’s probably a bug that will be fixed in the final version of the application that may come later in the week to Google Play.

The links to download, also available at Android Police, it is signed by Google and are officers APKs. The cryptographic signature file is safe and has not been tampered with (at least the following links). It is worth remembering, however, that Google will release Google Maps version 9.19.0 in his shop the next day, and you have the option to wait to update the app.

Download Google Maps (9.19.0) here; you can also download the 64-bit version of the app.
