In October we published Sony’s official information that several of its devices would not receive new versions of Android Lollipop and would jump straight to the Android Marshmallow. The Xperia C4 was included on that list, then the device users were surprised to start yesterday receiving the Android 5.1 Lollipop.
What does this mean for sure, we do not know, but expect the Xperia C4 yet is included in the list of Sony smartphones that will receive the Android 6.0. For Brazilians, the news is even worse (or better, depending on how you interpret), the only variant that is not getting the upgrade is the E5343, the released here. Following is the full list of devices disclosed in October:
Users of the Xperia C4 Dual are also getting the update that brings some bug fixes and improvements in performance and stability, but no big news. In total there are 5 of the 6 versions of the C4 which can be updated at the time, with only the E5306. With the update, the Xperia go to build 27.2.A.0.155 and C4 Dual for 27.2.B.0.155. New information should arrive soon.
