But there was a difference that caught the attention of researchers Lookout. They had thousands of discharges and were well quoted in the Play Store. This was only possible thanks to the manipulation of applications, which could discharge and install new applications and give positive notes themselves.

The apps are capable of using devices compromised to download and positively review other malicious apps in the Play store by the same authors. This helps Increase the download figures in the Play Store.

Once installed applications sought to gain control over the smartphone, making sure that they had applied root and if the answer was positive they settled as a system application, which prevented its removal even if a factory restoration was done.

What was determined the applications were not to perform any malicious activity, with only replicate and install other applications of the same creator on Android smartphones.

But it would have been enough a simple upgrade, with new instructions and new code would suffice for them to have a completely different behavior.
