Having the updated smartphone is paramount, whether for security reasons or just to get new functionality in our devices. Updates on issues, is more than well known that Android, Google is not a great example of this, as we speak here not long ago

Most Android users know, or should know, that most devices, especially those in the lowest range, hardly receive new versions of the Google operating system. Even upscale stay a long time until you get them the latest version of the system.

Nevertheless, there are still marks on the platform trying to bring the latest software for its users. This is the case of Sony. The Japanese brand, despite not having a strong presence in Portugal, compared with Samsung, for example.

When it comes to updates of Android, Sony seems to be the most committed brand to bring consumers the latest version of the mobile operating system from Google, second only to the Nexus line of smartphones, the ones who are controlled 100 percent by Google and receiving updates steadily

According to an article in the Pro Test magazine, January / 2016 (see picture below) Sony is the brand that has the highest percentage of upgraded appliances to the latest versions of Android, in which case relates to version 5.0, Android Lollipop.

In this version, the Japanese brand has 20 percent of its equipment updated to version 5.0 Lollipop. Here are Samsung and LG, both with 15 percent, and last Huawei, with only 3 percent of devices updated to this version

This article is going against what we speak here (Android 6.0 numbers show that Google’s system is not the best for those who expect updates). If it is true that Android is the operating system with more users, it is also true that this is the operating system that the more ‘despises’.
