I would venture to say that the relationship between Facebook and mobile phones is indisputable. With a base better to 1500 million ( and a half billion ) users worldwide, Facebook notes that the overwhelming majority of their hits are made from telemóvels ( many basic rather than more advanced smartphones )
Facts about Facebook on your phone:.
• per minute accessing 486,183 users Facebook by mobile phone
• 79% of all users of accessing Facebook from your smartphone
• Daily 745 million users access the Facebook on your phone
• 73% of the revenues generated in advertising with the Facebook phones come
• For the quarter, Facebook wins $ 2.5 billion in mobile advertising
Facebook Mobile or Facebook Mobile

With the amount of applications that Facebook has available, almost one might think that Facebook Mobile ( ie : the Facebook site adapted to mobile phones ) is redundant. is not the case, particularly in emerging markets where access to the internet ( and Facebook ) are made from basic mobile phones ( the only requirement is same power access the Internet ).
The Facebook strategy also not going to be ‘only’ available. The social network Mark Zuckerberg will actively behind your user base . I dare even say that seeks to create all the conditions to make it impossible for anyone not register on Facebook .
This is my last statement may even seem exaggerated, but the fact that the Facebook join telecom operators to transmit data at more affordable prices ( and in some cases even free ) comes validate this idea. To make these possible access, Facebook has a partner portal which promotes the release of discount programs for Facebook, but also allows:
• Set the Facebook SMS ( an option that does not require data to use Facebook )
• Get statistics about
customers • Enable Autofill to facilitate records
I believe that Facebook SMS is another good example of the importance that the social network gives mobile phones. Through text messages ( which is the central feature in many basic phones ) you can publish pictures, update status and to send / accept friend requests. This depends, however, the operator support. can be activated on any computer .
Essentially, and through text messages, Facebook SMS allows you to receive and send SMS to update their profile on the social network. In Portugal, the operators listed by Facebook to support this feature are MEO, Moche and USO .
In terms of functionality, Facebook Mobile lets you do almost everything (‘ almost everything’ is the key phrase to retain here ) what we do in the desktop version of the social network. This includes :
• Do publications
• Add friends
• Submit messages
• Upload photos
• Edit privacy settings
Depending on the browser version of your mobile phone , Facebook can – or not – display a much more basic version of the site. And then yes, we have all the other applications on Facebook.

Facebook for Android
• Facebook is the most popular app from Google Play
For many users the Facebook for Android is one of the only input options in the social network for many of its users . This explains in part why it is so simple to create a new account from the Android version of the app. Unlike the desktop version of Facebook, however, the Facebook for Android will be able to access features of your phone or data about you, including :
• Your SMS or MMS
• File Transfer A ( without notice )
• Read / write your
contacts • Add / change events on your calendar
• Send e emails to guests without their knowledge
• Read calendar events
• Access to sensitive information
I understand that this may cause some ‘wrath’ of to privacy issues , but such access also brings advantages for the user. For example, in the case of access to SMS that will allow Facebook confirm ( automatically ) your phone number locating the confirmation code that sends SMS .
The Facebook for Android also requests permission to transfer files, but here admit that This is a term that may cause confusion . By ‘files’ shall mean ‘content’, ie content that Facebook preloads to display in your News Feed .
Access Facebook to Your contacts also serves their purposes, although here share the view that this should be a function completely controlled by the user ( after all, not all want to find all our telephone contacts on Facebook ).
Essentially this access serves to import contacts to Facebook , or sync Facebook contacts to the contact list your mobile phone.
Not therefore no big deal – but it requires some attention on your part, especially if you have sensitive information stored in your phone
One detail that is not as well known on Facebook ( not. necessarily unique to Android version ) is the ability of social networking only block some features of your business.
For example, if the player has a behavior that may be considered abusive ( even if that was not its intention ), Facebook can block his access to the role. The locks are usually temporary and can last from a few hours to a few days. And no, it can not remove them. “ can not remove this lock for any reason ,” says Facebook itself. Be warned
With regard to this last paragraph, the message here is clear:. might be better stop what you are doing abusively . At worst abusive behavior that is not avoided can lead to permanent deactivation of your account
