6 Marshmallow Android on the Galaxy S3 is now possible with ROM … – Tudocelular.com

Samsung does not have a good reputation when it comes to operating system update their devices, “guaranteeing” a maximum cycle of 24 months. Having this policy as a basis, we know that the Galaxy S3 is bound to run Android 4 KitKat for the rest of your life. But of course as relying on independent developers that story will have a very different ending, complete with Marshmallow.

As it has been very common, it is the XDA forum that part of the first contract to bring Android 6 Marshmallow to the successful smartphone from the Korean manufacturer launched in 2012. This is an unofficial adaptation of the popular ROM CyanogenMod 13 which leads to the Galaxy S3 the news of the new version of the green little robot system.

According to reports from users who have already performed the installation of the ROM, features are working well, including the camera, as well as the Marshmallow novelties such as improving the integration of applications and services thanks to Google on Tap, with Google Now analyzing the tasks performed on mobile user habits and learning to perform the corresponding actions. We also have intelligent features for battery as the Twelve, which reduces device power consumption (up to 30%) when in standby mode.

Interested parties should be aware that assume the risks in the process of manual installation and use of an unofficial ROM and as always, we recommend follow to the letter the installation instructions and make up important personal files. Of course the project still has room for improvement, but it is heartening to see that the Galaxy S3 is not being abandoned by the developer community.
