The Pushbullet provides a popular file transfer service, and now updated its Android client with support for number of new features Marshmallow. The application now uses the new permissions at runtime, meaning you can selectively grant or deny access to multiple requests it.
Probably the most important new feature of Android 6.0 is the runtime permissions. Instead of having to approve each individual permission that an application prompts before being able to install it (or update), you can now approve permissions when an application needs them. This is a great improvement for users and developers, so we added support for runtime permissions on our Android app.

If you do not want to sync enabled SMS, no problem to install the app, or to use other features, so you can be sure that the service could not read or get text messages without permission.
