According to The Verge, Google today released a new patch for the Android operating system to correct a total of 23 vulnerabilities. The most critical allows remote code execution via email, web or MMS.

The patch also fixes a newly discovered vulnerability in the library Stagefright, termed as ‘high’ instead of ‘critical’ by difficulty remote execution.
This patch includes bug reported by several security companies, as well as for internal security team at Google. The partners were notified of the bugs on the 5th of October.
