The latest version of Android 6.0, aka Android Marshmallow is with a slow penetration, much less than expected.

According to figures released earlier this month, Android 6.0 is with a penetration rate of 0.3 percent, a very low value, taking into account the already Marshmallow has been available for roughly one month.

Android users, by various factors, are ‘stuck’ and spread over several previous versions of the operating system. For example, about 223 percent of users are in the lollipop version, while 37 percent remain in KitKat version.

The low penetration and the difficulty to communicate the latest versions of Android to various users, It relates to, in most cases, with neglect of several manufacturers, they only seem to look smartphones upscale, as the Galaxy S6, Sony Xperia Z or HTC M9, for example

.

When we compare Android with its competitors, including Apple’s iOS, we can see that the Apple penetration is much faster and more effective. At the same time on the market, iOS already fitted to 66 percent of the devices.

Although there are ‘modified’ version of Android and available to any user, the truth is that it requires some technical knowledge and less experienced users do not even think to go through these paths, waiting for an official version arrives them to the device.
