The South Korean Samsung continues to be the brand that sells more smartphones, even managing to increase this number over the same period last year. The brand increased its sales volume by around 10,000 units, from about 72 million units to 82 million.
The Samsung is the absolute leader with a market share to encrypt up to 24 percent, followed by Apple with 12 percent and Chinese Huawei and Xiaomi with 5 percent. Also noteworthy growth of Huawei, which continues to gain market every passing year.
When it comes to operating systems, Google’s Android is king and lord, hardly attainable numbers presented by the competition. Android dominates the market for mobile devices, standing with a market share of 83 percent, against 12 percent of Google and 3 percent of Windows Phone.
It should be noted a drop in sales of devices Windows Phone. Microsoft does not seem to be able to achieve the goals it has set itself. Microsoft had sold in 2014, about 9 million smartphones equipped with Windows Phone. That number dropped to 6 million, which translates into a drop of least 3 million and sold.
These figures are from Gartner and the same indicates that, between mobile phones and smartphones were sold in total 477 million devices to date, over 16 million units over the same period in 2014.
