Android Nougat continues to reach to more devices – the Observer – the Observer

The One Plus promised and fulfilled, starting to get, in the afternoon of 31 December 2016, the latest version of the Android system, the Nougat, to the top of the range brand, the One Plus 3Q. However, there were also images of the database GFXBench Galaxy S7 Active running version 7 of the Android, which leads us to believe that it is for very soon the official version.

The One Plus 3T is the latest top of the range of the chinese brand, and gradually by all the zones where it is sold, the smartphone is receiving the software update to the latest version of the Android system. Since this is the One Plus, the update is for the Oxygen OS – an operating system slightly changed from the Android "pure", made available by Google, and present in the Pixel and in the Nexus – that will already in the fourth version.

Already the Samsung still has not released the official version of the Nougat but, according to the image above, the Galaxy S7 Active would be running the 7.0 version of operating system from Google, which leads us to believe that is for very soon the final version ready to be distributed to all devices top of the range brand, including the S6 and the S6 Edge. Of course that will not be a clean version but the TouchWiz that both characterizes the smartphones of the brand’s south Korean.

These advances in the update of the Android devices end up having a great relevance due to the criticisms that the marks tend to receive: the update of smartphones that run the Google operating system (available from open source for dozens of brands), they take usually months to get them completed.

Currently, the smartphones of Google and the Huawei Mate 9 already at the latest version of the Android operating system, being accompanied by others such as the LG V20 and the HTC 10 Evo that also already bring the Android Nougat.

Still, the overall rate of update of the Android operating system is quite slow, compared with the main competitor, the iOS from Apple. In the past month of December, only 0.4% of Android devices ran the version 7 of the operating system of Google, against the 63% of iOS 10 Apple data (November 2016).
