Google wants the mobile application can also be used on computers and has now joined the Samsung, a long-time partner, to give more of a step in this direction.
Samsung introduced, at the start of the great fair of technology in Las Vegas, CES, two new models of Chromebook, portable computers that use the operating system Chrome OS, developed by Google. The Chrome is done based on the browser of the same name and the applications used are mainly web applications, that is, that work online, as is the case with many Google services, from Gmail to Drive.
These two models also allow you to run Android apps, something that has already happened with other devices in the market, but are the first to bring pre-installed Google Play store which, in addition to applications for Android, also distributes content such as music and movies.
The new computers have some characteristics that are typical for a tablet, thus approaching the devices hybrids: the screen is touch-sensitive and can rotate about the keyboard, are equipped with accelerometer and gyroscope (to detect movement) and include a pen.
The Chromebook Plus has an ARM processor (typically team devices such as mobile phones and tablets) to the step that the Chromebook Pro has an Intel processor designed especially for laptops that don’t require great performance.
