With the beginning of 2016, the time is still of the assessment of the past year at various levels. In the area of technology it is common to make statements and what was presented today is related to the software. In 2014 and 2015 the macOS and the iOS were the operating systems more insecure, in 2016 the "ball of tin" goes to the Android.
The macOS and the iOS no longer be the operating systems more insecure, and now the Android occupies the first place in the ranking of the 50 'software' the most vulnerable in the world. The list was obtained from the site cvedetails that, as the name indicates, keeps the record and information of all vulnerabilities.
As you can see by the list – the full version can be found here – the Android occupies the first position with 523 vulnerabilities detected in 2016. In the second position is Debian Linux and in the third position the Ubuntu.
These three operating systems are more vulnerable than the famous Flash! Highlight for the Windows 10 that is in the 14th position. The macOS and the iOS have gone to the 11th and 15th position, respectively.
In terms of brands, the Adobe occupies the first position with 1383 vulnerabilities in their systems, followed by Microsoft with 1325 and the third position belongs to Google 692. It is however important to note that the more popular/stronger the brand, the more likely you are to appear in the list by the fact that you have more products or services.
With the year of 2017 is already in progress it is important that brands ensure the best security of their products. Note that the Android had 3 times more vulnerabilities than iOS, a number of concern, because Android is the mobile operating system most used all around the world.
