HummingBad is back. The virus that both gave that speak for infect over 10 million Android devices again, but this time, the built-in applications available in the virtual store Play Store, in the form of a variant called HummingWhale.

This variant, with new methods for fraud advertising, making it more effective than the original version, it also installs other applications that are not authorized by the user, which increases the amount of ads displayed.

According to the e-mail sent by the team responsible, "users must realize that they can no longer rely on installing applications with a high reputation from official outlets of applications as your only defence. This software malicious employs various tactics to keep their activity hidden, which means that users may not be aware of the existence in your device."
