In certain scenarios, VPNs are the way to stay safe and ensure that our Internet traffic is not heard or kidnapped. These services promise high security levels and protection for the entire race. An assessment of the main and most-used apps VPN on Android-has revealed that this is not true, there are serious security issues on that offer, putting the user in danger.

Many of these services end up by injecting code detection users and advertising on users ‘ browsers, contrary to what one would expect it to be this service. Though the study was focused on applications for Android, everything leads us to believe that this problem should also exist on iOS, and even in VPN clients for Windows, Linux and Mac.

After all, and as proved in this study, something that should be naturally safe has serious problems, and leaves user data exposed. The solution is to create VPN servers are personal and use the access clients that are several years already in the market and with proven or use of own Android.
