For those who don’t know, Unity is an engine for multiplatform games very popular. Games that use this engine can be easily found on computers and consoles. In Android we can count with names like Crossy Road, Monument Valley, Lara Croft: Relic Run, among others. In the past the 29th day of September, Unity announced the rendering Vulkan, allowing the creators of games the use of the Vulkan API.
This API has been elevated to the heavens, and for a good reason. In desktop the Vulkan is, arguably, superior to OpenGL, and competing directly with the Microsoft API, DirectX 12. Including, names like Doom (the remake of 2016), has already run with Vulkan.
And what is the impact to the world of Android? It is better that the API OpenGL ES, used by the vast majority of 3D games.
By now we know that this API is being tested on devices like Samsung Galaxy S7, Nvidia Shield Tablet and Shield the TV and the Nexus 6P and 5X. You may miss a good time until the Vulkan becomes stable , but we can say at the outset that the Unity is in the best path.
