After last week the Asus Flip and the Acer R11 have received support for Android applications, and after months of testing, the Chromebook Pixel (2015) now receives the access to the PlayStore.
Chrome 53 has already started to be distributed by Chromebooks at the beginning of the month with a series of new features, including a new memory management. However, the first three Chromebooks to test the PlayStore have been left out of this update until the final week. In the update that was released yesterday (53.0.2785.129) to the second generation of the Pixel, the Android applications will be able to be finally installed on the one who is the most powerful of the three Chromebooks with this ability.
Despite this, the Play Store continues to be listed as Beta, and users may encounter some errors during the execution of the PlayStore and other Android applications. However, the level of the rest of the operating system, not if you expect any types of problems, allowing users a perfect use of your Chromebook. As soon as the update is completed, the Google Play Store will automatically start up and give the users the Chromebook with a window that will guide you during the login process.
Now that the Pixel (2015) already have access to Google apps, joining two other equipment, it is almost certain that Google will start trying to update other devices so that by the end of the year, other Chromebooks may have this feature.
