When we buy a new smartphone, regardless of the platform buy, there are a number of applications that come pre-installed on the equipment already from the factory, that is, the so-called bloatware. In the case of Android, Google apps are some of the that fall in this paradigm, although a large part of them have their usefulness in our day-to-day.

The Hangouts is one of the applications that comes installed by default on any Android smartphone but this is about to change. From the 1st of December, Google will force OEMs to replace the Hangouts by Google Duo in your installed applications by default.

When the new Google Duo and Google All have been presented at the Google I/O this year, many were left with the idea that this would be the beginning of the end for Hangouts. And even if Google claims now that this replacement does not represent in any way an abandonment of the Hangouts of your part, many will think this way. In fact, Google claims that it will continue to support the Hangouts.

This ends up being a measure understood, because of the prism that Google clearly want to give a greater emphasis to its new applications. But if it is so, why is Google Allowing is not part of this new package mandatory? I believe that might be so in the future, but for now do not.

In practical terms, this new order of Google it will translate in the new equipment to be launched in the next year of 2017. All remaining applications will remain unchanged.
