Nova Launcher win support for shortcuts to apps from the Android 7.1 … – Tudocelular.com

For those who gave the first impressions of the All Mobile Android 7.1 Nougat should have noticed that one of the great novelties of this update is the addition of shortcuts to applications. This allows you to quickly access a certain feature of an app before you even open it. However, the novelty is only available in the launcher of Google.

Now the Nova Launcher just to gain support for this innovation. As can be seen in the images below, when you tap and hold on an icon of an app on the home screen, or even in the drawer of apps, it is possible to access a particular feature of that app, or even add a shortcut on the home screen.

To have this functionality you only need to have the Android 7.1 installed on your Nexus. However, the New Launcher also takes a feature similar to those that are still on the Android Lollipop or Marshmallow. Above we see that when you tap and hold on an app on the Galaxy S7 Edge, it is possible to access configuration options for that icon.

The New Launcher 5 is still in beta stage, and is gaining more and more features of the Android Nougat. The first update of this version came out in September with many new features. There is not yet a fixed date for the final build to be released in the Play Store. You can easily switch between the stable version and the beta by accessing the settings of the New Launcher.
