As we know the segment of mobile operating systems is completely dominated by Android and iOS. However there is still Windows Mobile, Ubuntu, Sailfish and now recently appeared a new project that goes by the name of Plasma Mobile, a mobile version of the popular desktop environment KDE Plasma.
Despite the segment of mobile devices currently being controlled by Google and Apple, there are projects that continue to appear and that intended for a group of more closed user (as with Ubuntu Touch).
The project Plasma Mobile is a version of Linux / Kubuntu with the graphics driver Android (kwin / Wayland) and whose the popular KDE interface (Plasma). Currently this OS can only be tested on Google Nexus 5 using the same Ubuntu Touch tools. Check out apps that come with this OS.

This OS supports the basic functions of a smartphone, including notifications, app launcher, and even support for KDE Plasma widgets.
