Motorola launched the new Moto G 2015 Moto X Moto X Play and Style, but has not forgotten the predecessors, at least in the category software. The manufacturer is known to hold updated launched devices for some time. After releasing the Android 5.1 Lollipop officially for the Moto X 2014 during the month of May, now is the time to make life easier for enthusiastic users and independent developers.
The Android 5.1.1 kernel source code Lollipop for the last generation of the Moto X (Victara) is now available on the pages of GitHub, it displays the image below. With this attitude the Motorola opens the door for developers to create new ROMs based on the new version of the operating system green little robot. These independent versions bring features not found in the official solution and are generally used by many enthusiastic users.
With the arrival of the new generation of Moto line of devices the previous models may turn out to be a good choice, with more attractive prices and still sufficient resources for most users. And with the availability of updated versions of Android, things get even more interesting.
It’s only a matter of time until the XDA forum and other channels are filled with ROMs like CyanogenMod, option of bringing more choice for users of Moto X 2014. And you think to perform an upgrade to the new Moto X Play and Style, or considers sufficient previous generation for a few more months?
