The Cyanogen is one of the brands that has managed to stand up to Google in the Android world. With its distribution based on the Open Source version of Android, it has managed to attract many users and be a viable alternative.
But the Cyanogen wants to be much more and so mune up of the essential tools and applications, and the idea of becoming independent of Google 100%. The latest proposal, which will appear soon is its own version of the Android browser. The Gello arrive soon and is based on Chromium.
This new version of Cyanogen browser will be created based on the open-source version of Chrome, Chromium, and will be to integrate with the version of Cyanogen community.
For now yet There is a specific version for testing but Cyanogen already have your early work and began to show users what can expect from this new browser.
Because it is based on the Chromium keep much of the image that we used to see in Chrome, but will have the advantage of being free of any additional tools that Google puts on its version.
Just as has happened with CyanogenMod and the tools created for the track, this version of Chromium will be the responsibility of the community that supports this version of Android.
Despite the similarities with Chrome being obvious, the Gello have unique features which set it apart even from other versions based on Chromium.
So you can see from the information presented by Joey Rizzoli, a member of Cyanogen, this browser will allow the collection of pages to read offline, a night mode that reverses the browser colors, a tool to block advertising, various security checks and download manager with advanced features.
All of these extra features will allow users to Gello and CyanogenMod surf the Internet without being concerned about the information that they are sending to the Google.
There is still no date for release of Gello, but Cyanogen hopes to have it available shortly. Will be incorporated into the ROM CyanogenMod so be with a minimum maturity.
In the picture of what Google has done with Chrome, Gello should gradually replace the current browser, to become the only present in this ROM.
This is another step of Cyanogen to free tools that Google puts on Android and that make users depend on it.
