There is much that Google’s search box is no longer just a place where we put the text you want to search. It is already an open door to acceded to a wide range of extra features that were emerging that are useful to all.
If until now Google had focused on providing access to basic functions such as converting values or the weather. Now came another, but directed to mobile devices. We speak of the possibility of sending addresses to the application of Google maps on Android.
This new complements another that appeared a few days ago and that allows us to find our Android smartphone directly from the Google search.
It is the second that focuses on interaction with Android, from a point focuses that we use every day and that is one of the most used entry points to the Internet.
This focus on integration between research and Android is that mechanisms facilitate the use of either platform.
The new feature allows the user to search an address and forward it directly to your Android device, where the application of maps will immediately open with the address sent as point of research.
Thereafter it is for the user to decide what to do with the house, but already in the smartphone and can start navigating to your destination, since all the data is already on your smartphone.
In order to use this new just need to open a Chrome tab, the only browser where to have this option works, and point to search Google.
Once on that page just need to write in the search box the text “Send Directions” for a map is displayed.
In this map only need to define the destination address and choose the option to send to the mobile device. Immediately appear in the application maps the fixed course and everything they need to navigate.
This option, as mentioned before, is still exclusive to Chrome, and requires that the user is to access Google with same account that is defined on Android.
Although it was announced by Google is not yet available to everyone and will be gradually extended to other users and other languages.
If you have the chance test the new and see how Google is bringing to Chrome and its search page new forms of communication with Android.
