AutoMate – How can be the alternative version of Android Auto – Pplware

The interconnection between the smartphone and the car began some time with the announcement of the creation of specific interfaces for this scenario in the two main operating systems.

Both Apple and Google are working to bring their systems to the console of the car, merging the functions of phones with car systems.

But until that day comes, in which all can have access to these new interfaces and functionality, we have to use alternative options. The AutoMate is the first proposals coming to Android and it may well be an excellent choice.

The AutoMate recreates what its creators see as the ideal interface for using a smartphone while driving, minimizing the available options and focusing on what should be the essential.

There is a direct copy of which will be the Android Auto but has, of course, many elements that will be part of it. It is a logical philosophy and that most will certainly follow.

Divided into five major areas, the AutoMate seeks to give each of them access to basic functions expected. Each of her with their own functions can simplify the use of smartphone while driving.

We have the central point, where are the messages displayed to users, and can be removed with a simple swipe. This is also where there is a speedometer and date and battery information.

Then there is the map service, which makes use of the Google application and allows not only see the current state, but also navigate to the desired point, with all the necessary information.

The area for phone gives access to the phone book and the recent calls list, always with large icons and simple to use.

After there is the area of ​​music where you can access either the Google Music and the files you have available for hearing or at the local housed in cloud from Google.

Finally there is the Favorite zone where we can put shortcuts to other applications, which will be able to be accessed at any time.

The AutoMate is still in beta and all who want to test must adhere to your G + community to later have access to the application.

It is not yet a perfect application, but already shows the way that Google should follow with Android Auto, while giving access to all the similar interface and based only on your smartphone .
