Google wants more apps for kids on the Android – Exame Informática

Google announced Designed for Families program, which helps developers to create apps for children and families. To go through this approval, apps must meet certain requirements in terms of content, usage policy and undergo a peer review, according to the company, quoted by The Verge .

Developers who apply for the program will have a higher reputation for their apps in the Google Play site created specifically for family experiences. This prominent position will allow apps to be downloaded more times and that programmers can profit from in-app purchases and advertising, eventually.

The aim of Google is to create an area in Play in the near future and the company will enable consumers to obtain content appropriate to the age of each child, faster and that parents can make choices with more information.

The changes should start to be seen only in the coming weeks.
