ComScore released its share of the smartphone market report taking into account manufacturers and also the operating system used in their products. Not surprisingly, Apple continues to lead in terms of sales devices in the United States winning 41.7% of this market, while Android is still the most popular system being found in 52, 8% of units sold in the last reporting period from December 2014 to February this year.
Looking at the period with the most recent, Apple lost 0.1% of the market, showing that the company continues with solid participation in their homeland. While manufacturers that adopt the Android system grew by 0.2%. Samsung leads this scenario, placing second in overall sales ranking with 28.6% . Then we have the LG, Motorola and HTC. Of these, the one that had considerable growth in the US market was the LG.
With regard to operating system used, the Android takes the lead being followed by iOS, Windows Phone, BlackBerry, and Symbian. The latter virtually nonexistent relying only 0.1% of the smartphone market. Systems analyzed only Android and Windows Phone grew . The change was low, which shows that in the last six months, the US market remains virtually static.
Finally, ComScore also analyzed that 71.2% of smartphones sold have the Facebook app installed. Soon after we have the Google services like YouTube, Search and Play Store with an average of 50%. However, other services such as Google Plus had reduced participation in this period.
