Motorola started distributing a test version of Android 5.1 Lollipop for the first generation of the Moto X in Brazil. For now, only users registered in SOAK Test program will receive the update. According to the information posted by Brazilian users in a social network, the new version brings several fixes and improvements to the machine.
The new version of Android to the Moto X enhances the user experience and system stability. The update improves the quick settings and allows a better and more control over the system notifications and launcher interrupts resources. The camera, a grievance point between users of the first generation, for their performance below expectations, is another item that wins improvements in Android 5.1. However, no example photo was shown by comparing the quality of the photos in the new version.

Motorola does not announced a date for the update wide distribution, however, it is speculated that in early May it be released to all users of the Moto X first generation.
