Gmail app for Android has received several improvements from last week, coming to version 4.6. But only now that one of the secrets of this update has been discovered: the service will have new forms of advertising, probably inactive yet.

Who discovered the novelty was the Android Police, after poking around in the source code of the application. There are several references to the advertising, including the ability to save an ad like a draft or message. For now, it is unclear what the content or location of the advertisements, as they are directed according to keywords and tastes of the person, or more generic.

Remember that the traditional version of Gmail for browsers has a new interface that also opened new possibilities for the ads.

addition to ads, the site found that the interface icons are darker in the process of sending messages are highlighted and the other notifications in Gmail contacts without photo does not appear with a more generic image, but with an illustration of the initial the person’s name.
