Jelly Bean is already present in almost half of the devices ... - TeK.sapo

Android Jelly Bean, which includes versions 4.1 and 4.2 of the operating system from Google, reached the highest utilization rate always to be present in 45.1% of devices accessing the Google Play. The figure represents an increase of five percentage points compared to the figures recorded in August.

The version 4.1 is the most used alone to represent 36.6% of premises in tablets and smartphones, while version 4.2 notes only 8.5% market share. The second most popular version remains the Gingerbread, with little more than 30%, while the Ice Cream Sandwich is still presented with a significant 21.7%.

The situation reminds a bit rates of use of Windows: Windows 8 has grown, but the Windows 7 and Windows XP continues to recede slowly in their respective market shares.

Interestingly version 4.3 Jelly Bean continues without appearing in the tables using the Google . And for the first time all versions lower than Android 2.2 did not appear in the data analytics technology – that by not supporting the latest versions of Google Play app store. The Mountain View company says that versions 1.6 and 2.1, together represent less than 1%.

In spite of significant change during the month of August and early September, the fragmentation problem continues Google plague. Over 50% of Android users, for example, may not have access to the service Google Now since this is only supported from Android Jelly Bean.

The level of security, as recently expressed by the threat discovered by Kaspersky, the use of older versions of Android holds greater levels of exposure to malware schemes and malicious applications.
