Android 4.4 Kit Kat, a delicious partnership between Google and Nestlé - Telemoveis.com

Android 4.4 Kit Kat will be the name of the next version of Google’s operating system. Result of a non-monetary partnerships between Nestle and Google, also Kit Kat chocolate bars will now refer to the Android mascot

When was the last time you ate a Kit Kat? If you have not thought about it do not worry you will soon find herself to remember the Kit Kat more often. The reason? The new version of Google’s mobile operating system, Android, will take the name of the famous chocolate Nestlé. And no, it will not be for nothing.

Sometimes we forget that Google, at its core, is a company specializing in the sale of advertising. The version 4.4 of Android, but it has not been a monetary agreement with Nestlé, will likely prove to be a bet quite lucrative for both companies.

First surprise of the official announcement: no, will neither Android 5.0 nor will call Key Lime Pie. By choosing the name Kit Kat, Google decided to not only give Nestle a presence prominent in millions of devices, but also forced the company to refer to your brand on the day decide to introduce the next version of its operating system – plus it any website dedicated to technology (and fans, and users) will often repeat the word Kit Kat.

All this in exchange for absolutely no money for Google. “I can confirm that there was no exchange of money,” have said a spokesperson from Google to VentureBeat. The initiative of this agreement will also have advantage of Google itself.

Google wins with this arrangement?

Nestlé have to do something in exchange for Google’s presence that will get, and this will manifest itself in the presence of the little Android mascot on the packaging of the popular chocolare, present in at least 19 markets.

The agreement, however, is not new to 100%. In 2009 Motorola – now owned by Google – held a similar maneuver to launch the smartphone Motorola Droid R2-D2, an advertising campaign to the Star Wars franchise.

The impact that the agreement between Google and Nestlé is having, however, still have to be measured. This strategy would eventually culminate in most forms of software associated with brands? Expected to more news for October.
