Google Maps is one of the best tools present in Android. But unfortunately it has a major weakness: without a connection to the internet, it is simply impossible to use it – that is, unless you have downloaded the entire contents of the application to your device.

If you want to learn how to do this and not have to worry about being more connected to know where it is, just follow this tutorial Tecmundo.

Important: before proceeding, make sure to be with the latest version of Google Maps. Also, it is good to remember that the process may change in future updates of the app.

To save the map of an area on your smartphone, you can do a search in the desired location by pressing it once. Then, go to the address bar to check out the search options. At the bottom of the screen, you should see the option to make that map available in offline mode.

If not, try a little closer zoom Maps or type in the address bar the following message: “ok maps”.

done, you will receive a message that the map was saved in cache and is available if you are without access to WiFi or a data plan. To test if the map was saved or not, disable the connections of your Android with the internet and try to access the address in question.

To date, the application does not have a simplified way to access the maps saved for offline, but as he has constant updates, the app can get this feature soon.
