The device is a kind of “case” in a format laptop, which comes with screen, keyboard, Bluetooth, e-mail, and touchpad and a battery of 6,000 mAh. In the demonstration, the Acer connected the device via MHL cable, in a modified version of the smartphone Liquid E2.

According to Engadget, the navigation seemed to have an interesting performance, even in games. The game Riptide GP 2 was tested and ran without halting, identically to the smartphone experience offered. One point that stands out is the portability: the device is not much bigger than the current ultrabooks.
Despite the impression, Acer Extend has no date to reach the market. According to the manufacturer itself, it is still in the testing phase and is only a conceptual design. However, a company representative revealed to Engadget, the device may appear on the shelves in early 2014.
