“No need to be a millionaire in order to have a Vertu”. That’s how the CEO of Vertu, Max Pogliani, commented on the situation of technological luxury industry to the Financial Times. And the CEO attributes this situation to Apple that is democratizing segment through Apple Watch.
But looking at the latest smartphone from the old Nokia’s division, Vertu Signature Touch it may not be necessary to be a millionaire, but it remains critical to have a rich portfolio. The price of the smartphone varies between 7 and 17 thousand pounds, the equivalent of 9,500 and 23,000 euros, respectively.
The most expensive version ensures a rim built in rose gold, but prices may rise further for specific applications.
One of the highlights of this model is that it is fully assembled by hand by just one people. That is, all components are integrated by hand, which almost turns this equipment in a “cottage” piece.
When the smartphone level itself, the Signature Touch is an Android Lollipop, has a 5.2 inch display with a Full HD resolution, Snapdragon 810 processor eight-core, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
