According to The Verge, Chevrolet did something unusual when, a few months ago, announced that their cars would have CarPlay and then Android Auto. Today, the company announced that the Android Auto version will come out next year in March.

In the May event, Chevrolet suggested that the ‘upgrade’ to Android Auto was coming to the end of 2015.
The company finally announced the models 2016 would leave the factory already with Android Auto instead of CarPlay.
