Google: Android investigating US – Economic

The Federal Trade Commission (CFC) of the United States reached an agreement with the Department of Justice of the country to investigate the business of the Android operating system, owned by Google, which is used in most smartphones around the world.

According to two nearby of the process sources cited by Bloomberg news agency, the US Google is hampering access to operating system platforms other than Android, which led to would open an investigation.

At a meeting between the CFC and the technology of responsible was said that Google would be to focus on the Android system and restrict access from other systems to its platform. The agency said that this research may not result in any effective action against the technology.

According to the IDC consultancy, the second quarter of the year, Android is in 59% of smartphones on the market US, while the iOS (Apple) has a market share of 38% and Windows (Microsoft) 2.35%.
