The Android ecosystem suffers from a disease that Google has clearly identified, but does not control. The fragmentation and the many available versions are a major cause of problems and dissatisfaction of users.
using figures show the Android always in a prominent position in the market, but unfortunately never with versions more Recent. Lollipop, the latest official version still only have a share of 21%, which is clearly not.
The new versions of Android have been growing, slowly, always keeping a strong presence of older versions. This is a scenario that has seen on Android for a long time and stubbornly remain firmly.

Immediately following is the previous version, Android Jelly Bean, which in its different versions also adds a high value of 31.8%.

Who grew, and well, was the last version official to hit the market, Android Lollipop, which already has 21%. The increase from last quarter was almost 3%.
All other versions have decreased their presence, with small breaks, but due to low expression turn out to be significant.
Who is growing right now is just the Android Lollipop, as would be expected. A year after coming to market brands have already released updates for their equipment, where kicked it, and the new equipment now only come out with this version.
Comparison with other systems is inevitable and clearly shows the difference. The control platforms and systems within them run turns out to be beneficial for users so they can take immediately the new versions, if they wish.
Google has done much positive work to standardize versions Android running on devices, but it’s still little, as the numbers show.
Android Marshmallow will arrive soon and the scenario that we have seen will return to again and again, with this new version to take months to have a significant expression
