It is well known that Android is the most widely used mobile platform in the world, beating large-scale competitor Apple’s iOS. Today, Sundar Pichai revealed that the mobile operating system from Google has 1.4 billion active users.
The data is only for the last 30 days but clearly show the power of the mobile platform from Google. Altogether there are more than 1400 million active users and many of them moved to Android recently. Pichai highlights Indonesia and Vietnam where the number of Android users has doubled in a year.
Sundar Pichai also revealed that more than 10,000 companies have been testing Android for Work, a version of the mobile platform turn now for the business world.
The strong man of Chrome and Android has not forgotten the strong growth of other Google devices such as the Chromebooks. According to information, sound activated more than 30,000 Chromebooks a day, especially in US schools.
