Marshmallow already runs on 10% of Android devices – Pplware

Android constant struggles to keep up to date, has not worked the way Google wanted. Manufacturers are slow to release updates for their devices and this slows the growth of new versions.

But, slowly, the difference between versions tends to blur and Android Marshmallow, the latest is now at a comfortable level, having reached 10%.

Marshmallow

This value may seem very low if compared to the other versions and even with what the competition has, but the truth is that the latest data for June show that the latest version of Android is now at 10%. From March until now, growth seems to have been noted since 3 months ago this system was only present in 2.3% devices.

would wait up this growth was at the expense of the previous version, Android Lollipop, but the truth is that it was achieved only with the decline of much older versions (Jelly Bean and KitKat). Android Lollipop remains at 35.4%.

The growth Marshmallow seems to be working just a factor. The age of many of the equipment begins to overcome the barrier of 3 years and so most users choose to switch to a more recent.

in doing so, and if we are looking at the medium and high ranges, it is inevitable to be the Android Marshmallow to be present in these new devices that are now on the market. Therefore, it is almost inevitable as the Marshmallow to grow.

It will be interesting to see how will the growth Marshmallow now that Android N is about to arrive. It took a year and a half for the Lollipop could dominate the Android market and the same should happen to Marshmallow, but this will only be possible to confirm within a few months.

Android N should have no immediate impact and will depend on manufacturers to impose keeping so inconvenient fragmentation in the Android universe.
