The Xiaomi interface can advance and bring to market a function that is scheduled only for Android and iOS N 10. This is the option that allows you to run two applications simultaneously, on the same screen. Called multitasking and multiwindow , the feature takes advantage of the growing smartphone display to perform more than one activity, as already happens in desktops, for example.
Although the solution already exists in mobile operating systems, such as iOS for iPad and modified versions of Android, there is no native (made exclusively by the companies concerned) for the use of the tool on mobile devices. MIUI 8 would be the first to reach the goal, however. This is what says GizmoChina site, citing sources that were close to the plans of the Chinese company.
MIUI 8 was officially launched in May 2016, being released in beta as early as next month, June. In the words of the informant, Xiaomi does not intend to add multitasking in the first public release of their brand new virtual environment, instead keeping the functionality for a not so distant future. This means that the option will be added through a general update if the origin of the details are correct.
When you download the necessary files and perform the installation of the content, therefore , users gain the opportunity to enjoy simultaneously two applications on Android. Moreover, MIUI 8 will also feature support for payment by biometrics, although this function is not exactly a novelty, being present in the Apple platform and TouchWiz, the little robot modified by Samsung, for example.
Android N already has multiwindow utility confirmed, then the Google fans will be graced with the new option so that the platform is officially launched. IOS already has Picture In Picture for a while, but only on iPads. With iOS 10, although Apple has not been clear, it is possible that the functionality comes also to iPhones.
Both mobile operating systems still come this year to the market, knowing this, it is worthwhile to continue following the news to better understand what will be the future smartphones. Both Android as iOS N 10 are in beta, intended for developers who need to work with the new tools of the software. Next to them, Google and Apple should get everything ready for the end user.
