Android uses user’s location to give apps and stock tips – Globo.com

Google launched on Thursday (9) Android Nearby, a feature that uses the location of users who use the smartphone equipped with the operating system to application tips to download and actions, such as the interaction with devices connected that are close.

The notices will be sent by Nearby as notifications. . These tips will be displayed after the smartphone to connect to beacons (sensors that send information by radio frequency) – this connection will occur automatically, since the phone’s Bluetooth is enabled

Nearby may, for example: a) finding a Chromecast device that makes an ordinary TV turn connected, that is close by and expressed allow setting without the need to download the device itself; b) give the app an audio tour in museums; c) suggest the airline’s app to check-in at the time you enter the airport; d) point sites that contain useful information on the surroundings of the user.

According to Google, the feature will reach users in the coming weeks. The Nearby come to Android through an update to Google Play Services application.
