Research reveals that Android dominates in poor countries while … – Tudocelular.com

Do you consider yourself a rich person? You live in one of the richest countries in the world? If you answered “yes” to one of the questions, guess what:. You probably do not have a phone with Android system

This is what shows a new report that shows that the market share of Android system worldwide is almost directly correlated with how rich each market is. The higher the per capita income of a country, the lower the participation of the little robot system in that region. At the other end, the market share of iOS is also related to wealth, making counterbalance this equation. So if you are rich or live in a rich country, the odds of you having an iPhone and smartphone are quite high.

The Android shines in poorer countries, such as Egypt where Google’s mobile system has a stake of 92.25 percent of the smartphone market. Egypt is in 120th position in the ranking of GDP per capita. The India is also obsessed with Android counting 88.71 percent of the marketshare, which is even lower position, being 142nd in the placement of GDP per capita table.

Meanwhile, in countries with higher position in GDP per capita, the iOS is dominating. Both in the Norway as the Denmark , occupying the positions 2nd and 6th respectively, Android dominates only 32 percent of the market share in each country. In Taiwan, ranked 35th in GDP per capita, the Android market share is only 20 percent.

When you compare these numbers with a total of 61.8 percent of the global share of Android, It is clear as the difference in each customer profile changes the system dominance in each country. Just to give you an idea. In 2015, 90% of smartphones sold in Brazil are Android. This shows that our country follows the same trend in other emerging markets. But what is the reason for this trend?

Apple was never interested in making cheap devices. His first attempt was with the iPhone 5c that reached the American market by $ 549 . Here in Brazil, the plastic iPhone came over £ 2000, staying well above the average purchasing power of the population. Thus, it is expected that the vast majority bet on solutions Android or Windows Phone.
