Samsung is known for a software update policy that abandons old and techniques median or low characteristics devices. A recent proof is the response of Samsung’s UK Twitter stating that the Galaxy Ace 4 will run Android Lollipop. But fortunately there are intermediate devices of the Korean brand that receive special attention, such as the Grand Galaxy Prime.
A few days ago we saw that Samsung would be working on a new variant of Galaxy Grand Prime. Named Value Edition, it has come to some markets with Android 5.0.2 factory Lollipop and not only that, is already getting a major update, the newest Android 5.1.1.
The original Galaxy Grand Prime was released with Android 4.4 Kitkat and remains in waiting for a more current software version. The launch of a new variant with lollipop factory and an upgrade in short time to live, may indicate that the first variant was also about to receive Android 5.
It is worth remembering that the device was launched with hardware modest, bringing a qHD screen (540×960 pixels) 5-inch, 410 Snapdragon processor (Marvell PXA1908 to the Value Edition), 1GB of RAM, 2600mAh battery and the big difference that may have made the Galaxy Grand Prime gain public , rear 8MP camera with 5MP accompanied by a on the front for selfies. A good bet Samsung to face famous models such as Moto Moto G and E, but will still need to wait to see if the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop is even available for the Galaxy Grand Prime making it even more attractive.
