Pebble now officially supports Android Wear – Exame Informática

In December, Pebble released a beta version of the operating system of the watches that bear Android Wear. Now, the feature is available to all interested users and to make the upgrade to the final version, reports the Cnet .

The goal of the Pebble is to allow users to access to an ecosystem of thousands of applications and notifications that make up Android. “We have much more interesting things planned for 2015 on Android and iOS,” said a spokesman for Pebble.

A few days ago, the CEO of Pebble, Eric Migicovsky, said a smart watch that had only Android Wear would not be desirable, since so far “is just the Google Now, the same that Google Now we have phones. ” The market seems to reason and it was learned that, in 2014, were sold 720,000 smart watches with Android, which corresponds to 15% of the segment.

The question is how the market will behave with the imminent launch of an Apple Watch in the coming months.
