The analyst firm Canalys estimates that 720,000 watches with Android Wear operating system were sold in 2014. It is a drop in the total of 4.6 million smart bracelets sold last year.
However, these values can be considered interesting for a young platform on which many of the watches hit the market only in the last quarter of the year. Some of the smart watches manufacturers also still have no reason to big smiles: the pebble hit the million sales and Samsung features multiple Gear watches, but without a great leader who stands out.
Within the equipment with Android Wear, the focus is on the round models, with the Moto 360 to lead and the LG G Watch R also to be well positioned.
