The Android and iOS are, without any doubt, the major mobile platforms. According to recent data from IDC, for the fourth quarter 2014, 96.3% of smartphone sales market belong to Android and iOS however the largest share belongs to the same Android.

In the fourth quarter of 2013, iOS and the Android accounted for 95.6% of total sales of smartphones worldwide. In 2014, in the same period, the area rose to 96.3%, leaving little room for the remaining competition (eg. Windows Phone, BlackBerry and others).
