Facebook introduces UI Material in Android application – Pplware

Facebook is one of the most used applications on smartphones but also is one of the less pleases users.

In addition to the high memory consumption that Facebook tried to solve with Facebook Lite , there are other situations that do not please users, since bugs, missing features and the lack of a more functional interface.

With the introduction of Material UI by Google Android 5.0, developers of several existing applications in the Play Store began to change the interface for this new design language. And Facebook did not lag behind.

The Facebook programming team has been trying a few weeks ago a new improved interface with the inclusion of some features of the new line of Google design.

During the day yesterday, most media technology portals gave to know that Facebook was testing a new UI interface material (partial). This new interface, they said, would be stringent tests to very few people.

To my amazement, this new interface came to me yesterday and it seems that I was not the only one to receive. Apparently Facebook has the same intention to officially introduce this new design. However those who use the stable version, will have to wait a few weeks to possibly receive the update with the new design.

This new interface is starting to get out in the Alpha version. As this is an implementation of the server side, not everyone who uses the Alpha versions may have for now still was only implemented the button of the options, it is unknown if also the navigation menu will be implemented.

To me, as the picture shows, arrived in version 28.0 .0.2.16. Good to know that Facebook is implementing certain things that users want, even if not the most important bug fixes and improvements in memory consumption. Perhaps more than at the time of the programmers start using API16 (Android 4.0), as it would bring huge improvements as well as most of the bugs would disappear.

If use Facebook Alpha, already have this new interface?

What do you think?
