Firefox for Android users have been blocked in Google Play … – Tudocelular.com

The Google Play allegedly made a mistake and ended up blocking Firefox . This “bug” coincidentally occurred less than three months after Mozilla announced he was giving up Google as the default search engine in Firefox , and signed five-year contract with Yahoo!

An agreement was signed between the two companies in 2004, so that the Google search engine was the standard used by the red panda browser. This contract should be renewed last year, but Mozilla has chosen to use the occasion as “an opportunity to review our competitive strategy and explore our options,” as explained by the CEO Chris Beard.

While Google has stated will cosertar failure , which really seemed to many, leaving outraged users, is that Google Play does not offer more support to Firefox for Android. Those who visited the virtual store giant through Mozilla’s mobile browser were received by the uninviting message “ this browser is no longer supported .”

If this was a deliberate action or not, a fact isolated as this can make it very clear the power that Google has on Android users, since those who choose to competitor browser could only access the app store through its native app, or choose to switch browser. This influence is one of the reasons that led to Cyanogen to declare that the company is tyrannical with Android.

Despite all suspected that the problem brought to users about the intentions of the owner of the robot operating system Green, the company informed the VentureBeat website that the problem is a bug, and a correction would be made “very soon”.
